Suspect held on indecent exposure charges

Posted

A man suspected of involvement in multiple indecent exposure incidents has been taken into custody.

Marcus Austin Pierce, 20, of Centennial, is being held at the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Detentions Facility on charges of indecent exposure, a class one misdemeanor.

On March 17, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office released a neighborhood crime bulletin regarding information related to a suspect alleged to be involved in at least seven incidents of indecent exposure over a period of two and a half years. The reported incidents occurred near Newton Middle School and in the neighborhoods adjacent to the intersection of East Arapahoe Road and South Colorado Boulevard.

On March 18, at about 3:45 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office Impact Team and investigators contacted a possible suspect at his place of employment. The information related to the identity of the possible indecent exposure suspect was developed by the Sheriff’s Office Crime Analysis Unit and Investigations Section. After a brief interview, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

A class one misdemeanor is punishable, upon conviction, by up to 18 months in jail and a fine of up to $5,000.
