The North Pole's most famous denizen seemed at home on the ice at the South Suburban Ice Arena in Centennial on Dec. 13, as Santa Claus joined itty-bitty skaters for a spin around the rink.
For mom Janine Hall, whose 10-year-old daughter Autumn beamed as she zipped alongside Santa, the jolly old elf's annual visit is a heartwarming break from the rigors of competitive skating.
“She's so intense about her skating, so this is a chance to just reconnect with the joy of the season and being on the ice,” Hall said. “It doesn't really feel like Christmas until she's out their skating with Santa.”
