Local residents interested in running for the Littleton Public Schools Board of Education are invited to attend an upcoming information session.
Three of the five seats on the school board are up for election this November. Board president Jack Reutzel and board member Kelly Perez are term-limited. Board member Angela Christensen — appointed this spring to replace Carrie Warren-Gully, who left after she was elected an Arapahoe County commissioner — faces the end of her term, though she can run for election to a full term this fall.
The information session will be held at the Littleton Public Schools administration building at 5776 S. Crocker Street in Littleton from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 10.
Attendees will hear from the Colorado Association of School Boards about the role of a school board member, learn about the LPS Board of Education from current and former board members, and receive information about running for office, like election timelines and filing requirements.
Face masks and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
Those interested in attending should RSVP with Janella Ferrie by calling 303-347-3391 or emailing email@example.com.
