Media adds to confusion about business’ location
A couple of weeks ago, the Denver Post reported on a new Blue
Bell Ice Cream facility “coming to Denver.”
In the text of their article, they listed the location as 14258
East Easter Blvd. in Englewood. Now I understand that the
neighborhood in question may have an Englewood post office address,
but I thought it was confusing, at best, to state that the facility
was coming to Denver and would be located in Englewood.
In the Feb. 25 Centennial Citizen, I read a similar article,
which more appropriately indicated that Blue Bell was coming to the
south metro area. The Citizen’s article stated that the facility
would be located at 14258 East Easter Blvd. in Centennial.
So, where will Blue Bell really land? I could not find a map
leading me to 14258 East Easter Blvd. I could find maps leading me
to 14258 East Easter Ave, however. On the official Centennial City
map (found on the city’s website) it appears that the location is
actually in unincorporated Arapahoe County, surrounded on three
sides by the City of Centennial.
I took a brief drive to the Easter Avenue location today and lo
and behold, I found serious construction activity across the street
from a marker labeled “14257” leading me to believe I have found
the actual location of the new Blue Bell facility.
