Letter - Choose John Priddy for South Suburban board

John Priddy loves the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District. He and his family have used the rec centers, trails and other facilities for over 20 years. He has an intense interest in preserving and improving the district parks and facilities for current and future users. He has a great deal of corporate business and nonprofit experience. He has an impressive resume with both graduate and undergraduate degrees in finance and accounting. He listens. He knows how to work with different groups of people to reach mutually beneficial decisions. He has a sense of humor. And he can “flip the dog” (We met in a yoga class at Lone Tree Rec Center.). He wants to contribute to the community and he has much to offer the district.
“Why, John,” you might ask (as I did), “are you running for one of three positions, for which the three incumbents are also running?”
John has no “axe to grind” with the current board. He believes that the current board has run the district well enough. However, John believes that he will bring the dedication and tenacity required for the position, in addition to a different perspective.
Go ahead and vote for two incumbents (you choose). But vote for John Priddy also. Every well-run organization needs new voices, new perspectives, change in order to adapt to the constantly changing world we live within.
Vote for John Priddy on May  3 in order for the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District to continue to adapt and improve.
