Kickstart fitness journey with free classes in January

South Suburban patrons can take classes, equipment demos during week of Jan. 13


South Suburban Parks and Recreation patrons can try free introductory fitness classes and equipment demonstrations at the Buck, Goodson and Lone Tree recreation centers during the week of Jan. 13.

According to a news release, patrons may participate in two of three 30-minute intro classes, or attend one equipment demo, and those who participate can enter to win prizes including a $50 gift card, 20-visit punch card, personal training sessions and massages. No need to register in advance; just show up.

Participants will receive a card to collect stamps for each class they attend. After earning two stamps, participants can turn in their card to be entered to win prizes.

Fitness demo classes

Jan. 13, in aerobics room at Buck Recreation Center, 2004 W. Powers Ave., Littleton. Cycle class, 5:15-5:45 p.m.; barre sculpt class, 5:55-6:25 p.m.; and yoga, 6:30-7 p.m.

Jan. 14, in the Pine Room at the Lone Tree Recreation Center, 10249 RidgeGate Circle. Zumba, 9-9:30 a.m.; barre sculpt, 9:35-10:05 a.m.; yoga, 10:10-10:40 a.m.

Jan. 17, in the gym at Goodson Recreation Center, 6315 S. University Blvd., Centennial. BodyPump, 9-9:30 a.m.; step, 9:40-10:10 a.m.; and yoga, 10:15-10: 45 a.m.

Equipment demos

Jan. 14, 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Lone Tree Recreation Center

Jan. 16, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Buck Recreation Center

Jan. 18, 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 1-2 p.m. at the Goodson Recreation Center
