Family Concert: Wild Kingdom

Posted by ArapahoePhilharmonic

This year’s Family Concert is themed “Wild Kingdom,” featuring music depicting some wild and woolly (and not so woolly) beasts. The Arapahoe Philharmonic will partner with Dr. Noize for a fun-filled morning filled with music and imagination. The orchestra will perform selections from Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals and Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, Leroy Anderson’s The Waltzing Cat, the Finale from Stravinsky’s Firebird and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumble Bee.

Come early at 9:30am to make animal masks (that you can use during the concert!) and check out an instrument petting zoo. Our musicians will be demonstrating all kinds of orchestral instruments in the auditorium.

Ticket are $15 for adults/seniors, $5 for students and free for children under 3 years old.
