A Denver resident has been named chair of the Denver Legal Marketing Association’s Local Steering Committee.
Katherine “Katie” Wright of the Virginia Village neighborhood was appointed to the role in September, and will serve as chair through the end of 2022.
The Legal Marketing Association (LMA) is an international nonprofit that exists to help its members develop best practices for legal marketing. Legal marketing is governed by the American Bar Association and Rules of Professional Conduct, of which the LMA educates its members, Wright said.
The LMA represents about 1,404 law firms internationally, states its website. Wright chairs the local Denver group, which serves all of Colorado and has about 50 members.
“I am honored to hold a leadership position at an international association that serves so many people on so many levels,” Wright said. “The LMA provides great resources to people in the legal community to better serve its members, the public and clients.”
The LMA is a great resource and supportive organization, Wright added.
“Legal marketing is its own discrete specialty, and the LMA offers education and training, opportunities to participate in the community, and networking with a large circle of professionals,” Wright said.
Wright is a litigation paralegal and the marketing manager for Kelly Law Partners, LLC — a civil litigation defense firm based in Cherry Creek that serves local and national clients. Wright has been with the firm since 2016, and got involved with the LMA in early 2017.
Wright intends to move further within the organization’s leadership structure, she said.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to serve the Denver community through the LMA,” Wright said. “My ultimate goal is to move onto regional and national leadership within the organization.”
