The Writers Studio at Arapahoe Community College is accepting submissions for its eighth annual literary contest until March 1.

The contest has divisions for unpublished work in poetry, creative nonfiction and literary fiction. First-place winners in each category receive a $250 grand prize and publication in the college’s literary magazine, Progenitor. First- and second-place finishers also will be invited as special guests to ACC’s Spring Literary Festival on April 21.

The judges this year are Dan Beachy-Quick for poetry, Harrison Candelaria Fletcher for creative nonfiction and Jennifer Davis for fiction.

The contest is open to all Colorado residents. Submissions must be sent electronically through the online program Submittable. For guidelines or more information, interested writers can contact writerstudio@arapahoe.edu.
