About 90 students overcame the last hurdle in their journey toward a diploma May 22 at Endeavor Academy's graduation ceremony.
Graduates walked across the stage in the University of Denver's Hamilton Gymnasium, where students Julia Ramos and Mario Cavazos addressed the crowd.
Endeavor is Cherry Creek School District's alternative education high school, which offers a more individualized approach and smaller classes than traditional schools. Endeavor's “program provides a structured, personalized learning environment where discouraged learners gain the `sense of belonging' essential to their development,” its website says.
Recently, according to the site, the school's enrollment sat at about 330 students.
