Returning chefs are ready to take on the newcomers at the 2018 Food Fight! Presented by UC Health and benefiting the Scleroderma Foundation Rocky Mountain Chapter hosted at the BAC Appliance Center. The competition is fierce this year with challengers from Ad Hominem, Seasons 52 and Personal Chef Lisa Givens going up against returning chefs from The Arvada Tavern, Citizen Rail, and Panzano. Judges and guests will score the competitors in three categories - Savory, Sweet and Sips.

Since 2015, Food Fight! has raised more than $140,000 to continue the foundation’s mission of support, education and research for scleroderma patients and their families. This event features both a silent and live auction.

Guest judges this year include: Sommelier Daniel McGaughey, General Manager of Food & Beverage Operations for the Denver Performing Arts Complex and Centerplate, Priya Shah of Shah Squared Consulting who holds a master’s degree in gastronomy from Boston University, and Max Krieger, Sysco Marketing Associate.

Also in attendance will be former Denver Broncos running back, Reggie Rivers. Serving as the master of ceremonies, Rivers will provide play by play commentary of the Food Fight! competition. Following the spirited live auction with amazing offerings like a private chef dinner for eight at Ad Hominem, Terrell Davis football and dinner with Randy Gradishar, Rivers will announce the Food Fight! winners!

This year's VIP experience, presented by Shamos Makovsky, will also dazzle guests with a red carpet arrival, appetizers and a sparkling wine tasting featuring hand-picked selections from Sheral Schowe, M.Ed., FWS, founder of the Wasatch Academy of Wine, LLC, out of Salt Lake City, Utah's first and largest wine school. It's a party you don't want to miss!

Debbie Hartung from LipBar Custom Cosmetics and Kaitlyn Thomas of Nuorriko are also partnering to present a preview during the VIP hour of one of the live auction items up for bidding later in the evening. LipBar Custom Cosmetics will provide a mini-makeover including a lip and cheek touch up. Nuorikko will provide a mini-makeover with a styling session on how to quickly update your wardrobe and look with items on loan from Wild Blue Boutique. Two lucky VIP guests will be selected to participate and enjoy the rest of the evening in their new look. All VIP guests will receive a VIP gift bag including a commemorative champagne flute, Pappardelle's pasta and early access to Food Fight!
