Centennial Under the Stars set
The eighth annual Celebrate Centennial Under the Stars event is slated for Aug. 3 from 6 to 10 p.m. Live music will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Rachel and the Kings and the music of band The Long Run, an Eagles tribute band. The event will conclude with a laser show at 9 p.m.
This family-friendly event includes favorites such as face painting, balloon sculpting, a bounce house, the South Suburban Kid’s Fitness Van, food and interactive children’s games. New this year will be a kids’ planting station hosted by Tagawa Gardens, a baby blanket drive and the Centennial Rotary Club’s beer and wine booth.

Reggae in the Park set
Centennial Center Park Amphitheater will host Reggae in the Park 2013, a concert to benefit the Cancer Care Initiative of Denver. Enjoy the spirit of Bob Marley’s smooth sounds as performed by his Grammy award-winning band, The Original Wailers, on July 27 from 5 to 10 p.m.
Former Denver Nuggets head coach and two-time cancer survivor George Karl will serve as emcee. General admission tickets begin at $40 with an option to donate additional funds to the Cancer Care Initiative. VIP packages begin at $250.

Judicial center work continues
Construction work continues at the Arapahoe County Judicial Center, 7325 S. Potomac St., in Centennial. The $5.4 million project will connect the lobbies of Courthouses I and II and include two security screening stations with a centralized entrance in the middle of the campus. Visitors, jurors and staff are strongly encouraged to arrive early and allow additional time to clear security.
Temporary entrances are located on the west side of Courthouse I and on the southwest front double door entrance to Courthouse II. Signage will direct visitors to the entrances of both courthouses. For more information, call 303-649-6355.
